APPLY FOR A GRANT
FOSPF only funds grants to the Slidell Police Department.
The Friends of Slidell Police Foundation is the major source of private financial support for the Slidell Police Department (SPD). The Foundation is dedicated to helping SPD prevent crime, save lives and make our community a safer place to work and play by assisting SPD with resources not provided in the city budget.
The Friends of Slidell Police Foundation will be awarding grants to SPD. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. Federal Tax ID# 82-3863196.
The Friends of Slidell Police Foundation’s primary area of interest is to assist Slidell police officers by providing funds for essential equipment, special programs and projects. Officer safety is the Foundation’s top priority. Each year the Foundation’s Board of Directors consults with SPD leadership to determine priorities for funding.
Grant applications are reviewed first in the Department to be certain that the Foundation is the most appropriate source of funding and that the command staff is aware of the request. This group will recommend that the Foundation consider a proposal for funding or not.
Before applying for a grant, please download and review the Friends of Slidell Police Foundation Grant Guidelines.
